Top 5 guys for the Ohio State job in 2012

Before I write this, all of this is based on opinion of who I feel will fit in best. Fickell will be the intern coach for the 2011-2012 season, so this would be for the 2012-2013 season.

Number one best candidate: Urban Meyer
Meyer is one the better coaches we have seen this decade. He led the Gators to two Bowl Championship Series title wins, one being against THE Ohio State University. He told everyone he wanted a year off, well after Fickell coaches this season he will have that. He is an Ohio native, and this has been linked as one of his,"dream jobs." His offense would be a good fit for QB Braxton Miller. He coached one of the best Quarterbacks in college history in Tim Tebow. He did wonders for him, and he could accomplish some of the same accolades with Miller, who will be a true Freshman this season. I hope to see him come out of his break to coach the Buckeyes, the team could win numerous titles under him.

My number two candidate: Luke Fickell

Luke Fickell will be serving as Ohio State's interim coach this season. He is an alumina of the school, and was formerly the Defensive Coordinator. He has always had the players' respect in the locker room. Another reason he is a good candidate is due to the fact that THE Ohio State University is about to get hammered by NCAA sanctions, and they could stay with Fickell to tough it out. This will be his only experience as a Head Coach, and I am not sure he is ready to be in the spotlight. I can defiantly see him staying though with a productive 2011 season. No matter what he will be a Head Coach somewhere after this season.

My number three candidate: Tim Beckmam

Tim Beckman is currently the Head Coach at the University of Toledo. He has built one of the best non BCS teams in the nation. He also formerly coached at THE Ohio State University, 2006-2007 he coached the Defensive Backs. He doesn't have a lot of Head Coaching experience, but if the Buckeyes are looking to start over, with a fresh new coach this would be the perfect hire. Eventually, you will see this guy in the spotlight rather if it's at Ohio State or some other big time university.

My number four candidate:Bob Stoops

He is an Ohio Native, while be born in Youngstown,Ohio. He is easily a top 5 coach in college football, being in the BCS National Tile Game twice in the past decade. He has compiled a 129-31 record at Oklahoma. He has coached in one of the best conferences, and has succeeded at it. I am not sure if he would leave a top job for an uncertain Ohio State program, but it sure is a possibility. He also has been linked to the job by numerous sources.

My number five candidate is: Jon Gruden

Another Ohio Native, Jon Gruden was born in Sandusky. He played at a college in Ohio called Dayton. He has been out of coaching for 3 years, but during that time he has been analyzing games. He has 15 years of coaching experience. This could be a huge plus for high school recruits with eyes on the NFL. He has also been studying to learn new schemes, and how to coach against new schemes. This could be the perfect job for him to get his career back on track. He has been linked to many vacant job openings during his coaching unemployment.
