NBA 2K12 Teams To Be

By: David Berger
The teams to be and who not to be in NBA2K12
Im gonna go from 1 to 30 on who would be the most exiting team to be in NBA2K12.

1. Minnesota Timberwolves-This is a no brainer, with the drafting on Derrick Williams and the signing of Rubio, Minnesota is going to be fun. You have the most improved player of the year in Kevin Love, and you get the athletic Wesley Johnson. The only down grade from last season is the loss of Johny Flynn, who was a fun player to play with in NBA2K11. But they get Brad Miller in return for Flynn in a trade with the Rockets, and Miller can hit some outside shots, and its always nice to have a Center who can hit 3's.

2. Cleveland Cavaliers-There were a couple teams that could be number 2, but I finally decided on the Cavs. The big reason they went up is because of Kyrie Irving, but not the only reason. With the HUGE improvement of J.J Hickson, they get more exiting, and with another big improvement of Ramon Sessions, it only makes it better. I have also always been a fan of Baron Davis in 2K, and the 4th pick in the draft, Tristian Thompson, would be another guy players would like to have. Anderson Varejao is a great defensive player, and Anthony Parker can hit outside shots like its nothing. But Irving will be the player to watch in NBA2K12.

3. Washington Wizards-There was some teams that fought for the 3 spot, but I decided on the Wizards. John Wall was the definiton of beast in NBA2K11, and his dance just made it better. Wall is one of the most exiting players to be n 2K, but he has a new weapon beside him, Jan Vesely. He has amzing offensive talents and is what 2K p;ayers dream of. They also have dunk contest runner-up up McGee, and Nick Young, who can hit shots from anywhere. They also have Rashard Lewis, who can also hit a bunch of 3's, but because of his huge contract, will be traded in plenty of franchises.

4. Dallas Mavericks-Who wouldn't want to be Dirk? The defending champions were fun in NBA2K11, mainly because you could drive in or shoot from outside with a 7 footer. Deshawn Stevenson is their starting SG, but isn't their best one. Jason Terry is, and is very fun to use in 2K. They have Caron Butler coming off of a big injury, and Shawn Marion who is always hitting those challenging lay-ups. Jason Kidd is a player who can average a double-double on any given night, despite his age. The Mavericks have the best bench in the league, with J.J Barea, Brendon Haywood, Jason Terry, Shawn Marion, Peja Stojakovic, Corey Brewer, Ian Mahinmi, and Rodrigue Beaubois. And the addition of Rudy Fernandez only makes them better.

5. Portland Trailblazers- Last year the Blazers were one of the teams you didn't want to be in NBA2K11, but this year, its totally diffrent. With the addition Gerald Wallace, one of my favorite 2K players, they got better. But with the latest addition of Raymond Felton, they got shot straight up. Wallace can dunk like crazy and shot good from outside, Felton is a good passer and can also shoot. And with a healthy Brandon Roy and Greg Oden, they only get better. Roy can do almost everything, drive, pass, shoot, you name it. Oden can be a great help, and Lamarcus Aldridge is a beast, a can be all-star. And new additions of Nolan Smith and Jon Diebler only makes them more exiting. The only down grade I see is the loss of Rudy Fernandez.

6. New York Knicks

7. Miami Heat

8. Chicago Bulls

9. Utah Jazz

10. LA Lakers

11. Oklahoma City Thunder

12. Boston Celtics

13. Sacremento Kings

14. Memphis Grizzlies

15. Charlotte Bobcats

16. SA Spurs

17. Orlando Magic

18. LA Clippers

19. Golden State Warriors

20. Atlanta Hawks

21. Philidelphia 76ers

22. Indiana Pacers

23. Houston Rockets

24. Denver Nuggets

25. Milwuakee Bucks

26. Detriot Pistons

27. NO Hornets

28. Phoenix Suns

29. NJ Nets

30. Toronto Raptors (sorry Toronto :(

I hope you guys enjoyed reading, and I hope it helps you when NBA2K12 comes out.

NCAA 12 Game Track

In this quick clip from EA SPORTS, we learn more about Game Track, a new presentation aspect coming to NCAA Football 12.

Similar to ESPN college football broadcasts, Game Track will show game highlights while game commentators (Brad, Kirk, and Erin) will discuss specific game topics. These topics can be relatively simple in context (a great game by a running back) or rather specific (a great game by a freshman quarterback in the rain). Game Track will always appear following the opening kickoff of the third quarter and will also appear during the course of the action to highlight great performances.

Terrelle Pryor Draft Profile

Name:Terrelle Pryor
Position: QB
College:THE Ohio State University
Height: 6-5
Weight: 240
40 time: 4.54

Game Film:

The Good:
Terrelle Pryor is an all around athlete. He has an arm, hands, and the speed to get by opponents. He is a proven collegiate winner with a 31-4 record in game he started. He has the size to look over the field and make good reads. He can also use his speed and strength to run over defenders. Pryor creates and extends plays by running outside the pocket.

The Bad:
Character concerns have raised flags since his high school days. He is getting questioned a lot more since they car scandal. He also has accuracy issues, which he showcased a lot while Ohio State was losing in games. He also had an issue winning in big games, such as the two loses to USC, Purdue and Wisconsin. With wins in those games, Ohio State could have seen themselves playing for a National Title.

Cavaliers undecided on the number one pick in the NBA Draft

Even though the consensus around the league is that the Cleveland Cavaliers are going to select Duke Point Guard Kyrie Irving, it's not a done deal. T

The Cavaliers have brought in Derrick Williams, Enes Kanter, and Brandon Knight all for second visits to meet with owner Dan Gilbert.

Don't forget that the Cavaliers have 2 of the top 4 picks, so they should be able to get a good combination on players to get a boost on their rebuilding efforts.

With the number one pick here are the options:

1) Kyrie Irving:
With good size(6-3 191lbs) and the physical attributes he is an athlete. He has the,"true" point guard look. He has drawn a lot of comparisons to Hornets Guard Chris Paul. He can become a standout at the position, and has the skills to become something special.

2) Derrick Williams:
Derrick Williams is 6'8" Power Forward with good length who moves very well without the ball. He can bring the scoring threat that the Cavaliers lacked last season. While he may not have the lower body strength to hold post position well, he's made good strides developing his upper body, which when combined with his good touch has allowed him to absorb contact and finish at a high rate down low.

Now what?

With all the the NBA season over, you may be asking,"Well what do I get to watch now?"

Well, I can't answer that question for you, but can give you some suggestions:

1) MLB- Major League Baseball is still heading towards the all star break. Teams are getting in form to make a big deal at the deadline. Tons of division leads are up for grabs(Like the Indians). The compettition gets rough during the middle strech. Also, they have events coming up in July such as the Homerun Derby, Futures Game, and the All Star Game. Now would be a great time to get into baseball.

 2) NBA Draft- The NBA Draft is here in the next few days. Now it's time to read up on players who you think your team will select. This years class is weak, but interesting none the less. Irving looks to be the sure number one pick, but after that it is a complete toss up. My team, the Cavaliers, will be watched very closely since they have 3 first round pick, and two in the top 10. The NBA combine started yesterday with prospects working out for teams.

3) NASCAR- We are in the heat of the season in this sport as well. Some may say NASCAR is boring, but hey what else is on? I love watching competitors play no matter what the sport. Jimme Johnson is the best driver in NASCAR and some are wondering if he can make an historic 5 peat.(Winning 5 championships in a row.)

Just because Football seasons, and basketball seasons are done doesn't mean there is nothing to watch. I find myself overwhelmed with so much to watch.

September 10th, 2011 -- Notre Dame versus Michigan -- Special Throwback Unis

Darren Rovell of MSNBC just posted the following pictures of the retro uniforms that will be worn by Notre Dame and Michigan for their September 10th, 2011 game at Michigan Stadium. These will be in NCAA 12

This game keeps on getting better and better. I am so pumped for it. I thought NCAA 11 would be unstoppable but if they keep this up, it will be done. The demo will be released next week, and the game will be released next month.

Dan Gilbert talks about winning NBA Lottery

Gilbert talks about winning NBA Draft Lottery

Daniel Sedin Guarentees a Win In Game 7

In the biggest game of his career, Daniel Sedin guarantees a win in game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
"We're going to win Game 7," Sedin told the Vancouver Sun.

Sedin's prediction came as he was discussing a first period in which everything went right for the Bruins and nothing went right for the Canucks. I like how he puts confidence in his team, it shows that he believes in them. Of course if they are to lose this game, he will never be able to live it down.

Sedin's guarantee could be more motivation  for the Bruins. Boston is already playing for forward Nathan Horton,  who has been sidelined for the series following a hit by the Canucks' Aaron Rome that resulted in Rome's rest-of-the-series suspension.

"You can't hang your head and feel sorry for yourself," Luongo said. "That's the worst thing I could do. ... I had a good feeling all day. Before the series started, I said I enjoyed playing in this building. Just got to move on right now. Got to believe in myself, right?"

The Canucks may have the upper hand for Game 7 as they have won all 3 of their games at home.Roberto Luongo, This Series has only allowed 2 goals at home, winning all of his starts. On the road at Boston he has struggled majorly allowed 15 goals.

I am cheering for the Bruins to win this game, I have been for them all series, and especially after the cheap shot by Aaron Rome. Stats may be against the Bruins, but if there is a will, there is a way.

MLB Considering Realignment

Today Major League Baseball(MLB) announced they were,"strongly consdiering" realignment. What this means is they would even up the Leagues by having 15 teams in each. Currently there are 16 teams in the National League and 14 in the American League. If they did the realignment, rumors are that the Houston Astros would be moving to the American League. Baseball is also considering getting rid of conferences all together. There are 6 conferences in the MLB, each division having 3. It would make all 15 teams fight for 5 play off spots in each division. ESPN's analyst Buster Olney it is,"50-50" but with upcoming owner meetings it could get a lot stronger. While this may not affect the way baseball has been playing, it will affect the fans. In my opinion, it will not be as compettive. Teams are put in divisions to try and win that divisions, which leads to good division races toward the end of the year. We are on pace to see a couple of them this year. I don't know about you guys, but I would hate to see the competitive in America's Past Time go away.  A source on ESPN says,"That  the players' union has indicated that it is open to the idea of two 15-team leagues, but that the whole plan still hasn't been talked through or presented to the owners." I really hope this doesn't happen.

Are the Indians back to Earth?

The Cleveland Indians are the biggest surprise of the 2011 MLB Season this far. They maintained the best record for a lot of April and May, but have hit a rough patch. They were the best team at home coming into June were they lost 5 out of 8 game at home, including 5 in a row. Right now the Indians are still in first place, losing a series to the Minnesota Twins. The Tigers are hot on their tails, they have been improving after a slow start and are on pace to give the Indians a run for their money to win the AL Central. The Tribe has already dealt with injury problems to Shin-Soo-Choo,Grady Sizemore, and Travis Hafner. When they are all healthy, they are the best team in baseball. Grady Sizemore has made two separate stints to the Disable List already this season, and Travis Hafner is just returning from a stint to the DL. With Hafner and Sizemore both in the line up they are at their best. Lately the Indians have struggled with their pitching and defense. Rookie Alex White was out to a great start before getting hurt and going to the Disabled List. Justin Masterson has showed   he has potential to be the top end of the rotation guy, but can he keep it up? It is going to be tough, but the Indians can make it to the playoffs and move on. They have a great future in front of them with all of their young stars.

NBA FINALS Miami
Well the NBA finals are back and while the Miami heat were criticized during the regular season they pulled it together when the play-offs game and showed what they were truly made of. While the unstoppable force of the Dallas Mavericks and the great DIRK. But who would have ever thought that the long waited matchup between Dallas Mavericks back in 06 what bring is self back. Many questions have been occurring during the series will Lebron James win MVP and will the great King get the ring. My opinion yes do not worry about Lebron James the one who closed out the Boston Celtics, and also the Chicago bulls, so yes I do think he will. And when u look at the defense from Miami heat come playoff time well, only once in the past eight games have the Heat allowed an opponent to score more than 89 points without going into overtime. Even though the 103-82 loss to the Bulls in the opener of the Eastern Conference finals, the Heat was pleased with their defense; they just lamented the fact that they couldn't keep the Bulls off the offensive boards

Top 5 guys for the Ohio State job in 2012

Before I write this, all of this is based on opinion of who I feel will fit in best. Fickell will be the intern coach for the 2011-2012 season, so this would be for the 2012-2013 season.

Number one best candidate: Urban Meyer
Meyer is one the better coaches we have seen this decade. He led the Gators to two Bowl Championship Series title wins, one being against THE Ohio State University. He told everyone he wanted a year off, well after Fickell coaches this season he will have that. He is an Ohio native, and this has been linked as one of his,"dream jobs." His offense would be a good fit for QB Braxton Miller. He coached one of the best Quarterbacks in college history in Tim Tebow. He did wonders for him, and he could accomplish some of the same accolades with Miller, who will be a true Freshman this season. I hope to see him come out of his break to coach the Buckeyes, the team could win numerous titles under him.

My number two candidate: Luke Fickell

Luke Fickell will be serving as Ohio State's interim coach this season. He is an alumina of the school, and was formerly the Defensive Coordinator. He has always had the players' respect in the locker room. Another reason he is a good candidate is due to the fact that THE Ohio State University is about to get hammered by NCAA sanctions, and they could stay with Fickell to tough it out. This will be his only experience as a Head Coach, and I am not sure he is ready to be in the spotlight. I can defiantly see him staying though with a productive 2011 season. No matter what he will be a Head Coach somewhere after this season.

My number three candidate: Tim Beckmam

Tim Beckman is currently the Head Coach at the University of Toledo. He has built one of the best non BCS teams in the nation. He also formerly coached at THE Ohio State University, 2006-2007 he coached the Defensive Backs. He doesn't have a lot of Head Coaching experience, but if the Buckeyes are looking to start over, with a fresh new coach this would be the perfect hire. Eventually, you will see this guy in the spotlight rather if it's at Ohio State or some other big time university.

My number four candidate:Bob Stoops

He is an Ohio Native, while be born in Youngstown,Ohio. He is easily a top 5 coach in college football, being in the BCS National Tile Game twice in the past decade. He has compiled a 129-31 record at Oklahoma. He has coached in one of the best conferences, and has succeeded at it. I am not sure if he would leave a top job for an uncertain Ohio State program, but it sure is a possibility. He also has been linked to the job by numerous sources.

My number five candidate is: Jon Gruden

Another Ohio Native, Jon Gruden was born in Sandusky. He played at a college in Ohio called Dayton. He has been out of coaching for 3 years, but during that time he has been analyzing games. He has 15 years of coaching experience. This could be a huge plus for high school recruits with eyes on the NFL. He has also been studying to learn new schemes, and how to coach against new schemes. This could be the perfect job for him to get his career back on track. He has been linked to many vacant job openings during his coaching unemployment.

Old and Gray,But still loves to play,Jason Kidd

Like a fine wine, Jason Kidd gets better as he gets older,
Kidd has been through alot in his many dedicated years in the NBA, he was a standout in high school at St.Joseph Notre Dame, and was heavily recruted by the University of California Berkely, where he went on and became a star and was an immediate prediciton at going very soon in the draft, just like the prediction the Dallas Mavericks took him with the second overall pick in the 1994 NBA draft, A huge point guard at 6'4 and weighed 210 lbs when he came in. In Kidd's early years he could have easily been compared to Derrick Rose and Russell Westbrook in terms of altheticisim, kidd moved around alot in the league playing for the mavs, suns, and nets and the mavs again. he was always a household name he could drive in score and dish it out, of course leading the Nets to back to back Finals (2002,2003) but came up short, hes lead his team whoever it may be to the playoffs 14 consecutive seasons. and holds a record he doesnt want to have playing the most playoff games of any player without winning a title. Kidd's ;ast few years he lost his shooting stroke somehow and knew he had to find a way back, so with countless hours in the gym he got his stroke back down in which his son and shooting coach coined the phrase "lock it up" referring to Kidd locking his elbow when he shoots, Kidd knows teams leave him open for 3's so why not drain em? kidd has become bery wise with his age, realizing that every team has 6 full time outs and each time out lasts 110 seconds, with an extra 5 for the play to start back so he rests until the second horn, Kidd has realized that this all adds up to 4 hours of extra rest during the season, hes second on the all time assist list behind the great John Stockton, but i believe Kidd may very well be on top one day. Kidd is the only play in history to score 15,000 points 10,000 assists and 7,000 rebounds, some how Jason Kidd has found the fountain of youth Dirk Nowitski says and Tyson Chandler has said "man J. Kidd can hit you places that you think you have no chance to score but he knows you can and what do you know Bam! 2 points" Kidd is a sure fire hall of famer no doubt he has nothing left to prove he wants that title to submit his legacy, so in closing we would like to thank Jason Kidd for his many years of great play in a league we all love and just like the Dr. j's and clyde Drexler in thier respective positions, Jason Kidd could go down as one of the best point guards ever and its well deserved, so thank you mr. Kidd and youll forever be remembered for your Basketball i.q. and your love of the game, he can relate to this quote," even when im old and gray i may not be able to play it but ill always love the game"- Michael Jordan

Thanks for the memories,Pryor

It became official today that Terrelle Pryor has decided to forgo his Senior season at THE Ohio State University. This comes midist a scandal involving deals on car, and the trade of Ohio State merchandise. Pryor was put under a lot of pressure after Ohio State Head Coach Jim Tressel resigned.

Terrelle Pryor was one of the most highly recruited QB's in the country his senior season in High School. He was big, fast, had a big arm, and smart. Coaches were drooling at the thought of them playing for their team. Pryor came into the spot light in a early season match up against the University of Southern California, Senior Quaterback Todd Boeckman was struggling. Ohio State ended up losing the game, but that started his OSU legacy.

Pryor went an amazing 31-4 regular season record over his 3 years with the Buckeyes. His four losses came against University of Southern California twice, Wisconsin, and Purdue. Some thought him as a heisman candidate, and an eventual 1st round pick in the NFL draft. Soon he began to have off the field issues. He called a former Ohio State great a," fake" Buckeye for questioning Pryor. He also supported, then jailed, Micheal Vick by wearing the black chalk under the eyes.

He had tons of potential, but I can not say I am sad to see him go. He has brought more trouble than good to the university, and was one of the reasons former Head Coach Jim Tressel had to step down. He says he plans to enter the NFL's Supplemental Draft, if there is one due to the CBA talks. If not, he said the Canadian Football League may be an option.

I hope he succeeds, but I guarentee it won't be as a Quaterback. He will be better off playing Wide Reciever, he has the perfect frame for it. He is comparable to Plaxico Burress, who is currently in jail. No matter where he goes his off the field problems will follow him.

My Surprise Teams

This year they're tons of teams with,"bounce back" potential, but only a few made my cut as surprise teams. These are teams that have the potential to win their conference and make it to a BCS bowl game.

My number one surprise team: Virginia Tech Hookies
            WR Jarrett Boykin

This is a team that reminds me a lot of last year's Auburn Tigers. They have a one year starting QB that is 6'6 245lbs and mobile. Their defense should be one of the better ones in the ACC, and they have a favorable schedule. I can see them easily winning the ACC, and being undefeated heading into Bowl Season. This is a team that should be fun to watch this season.

My number two surprise team: Georgia Bulldogs
             QB Aaron Murray

Georgia is a team that I have kept an eye on for the last couple of years due to players like Knowshon Moreno, AJ Green and Justin Houston. I have always liked their style of play, along with their coaching.  Some people do not even have Georgia in their top 25 this season. They have a heisman candidate in Aaron Murray, and avoid the likes of Alabama, LSU and Aranksas on their schedule. The only two games I can see them losing are their first two, Boise State and the University of South Carolina. Besides that I can see them meeting LSU in the SEC championship game. They should be an at large for a BCS bowl.

My number three surprise team: Notre Dame Fighting Irish
          QB Dayne Crist

Notre Dame is one of those teams you have to like. This year, they have the chance to redeem their winning ways. The last couple of seasons they have went down some rough roads. They are returning 17 out of their 22 starters this season, and will be under the system of Brian Kelly for the second year. This should give Dayne Crist some stability and help him progress. I am not going to say they go to a BCS game, but they SHOULD be bowl eligible.

My number four surprise team: Nebraska Cornhuskers
             QB Taylor Martinez

Nebraska is set to begin their first year in the new Big 10. They have a difficult schedule in front of them, face the top 3 in the Leaders Division. Last year they were out to a 5-0 start behind freshman phenomenal Taylor Martinez.. After Martinez went down, they took 3 losses in the second half of the season. They under prepared for Washington, and got it handed to them in a bowl game. This year they have a chance to win the Big 10 with no true number one team since Ohio State has been under investigation, and lost key players for the first 5 games due to suspensions. This is a team you should see in the Rose Bowl this year.

My number five surprise team: Texas Longhorns
           QB Garrett Gilbert

Last year Texas had a 5-7 season. They have bad play at the Quarterback Position and injuries were a problem. This season they have a favorable schedule, and an experienced Quarterback at the helm of the offense. I can see the Longhorns going 9-3 or 10-2. Two key games that stand out to me are Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State. Texas looks to be a contender to win the Big 12.(Note there will be no conference title game due to only having 9 teams this season) On defense LB Kennan Robinson looks to be a Big 12 All-American. They have veteran experience this season, and with Mack Brown bring the great coach he is, don't  be surprised if you see this team win the Big 12.

Are You Buying Madden?

Are you buying Madden?
The last couple of yours we have all been disappointed by Madden. Some more than others, but like myself we have some consistent buyers. This year I feel that this might change. With the NFL Lockout STILL in affect, sales may decrease. With new screen shots coming out in the recent days, and big news coming at E3 I ask you are you purchasing Madden this year?

I am one of the consistent buyers, and even with the lockout I will need my fix of NFL Football. Madden 11 won't cut it for another year. From everything I have read and seen this years version is looking to be a lot better, some saying this is the year it catches up with NCAA. I don't believe so, Ian Cummings left Madden for a reason. He knows there will be more bad than good in the next bit. I think Madden 12 will be an improvement, but one game can not change the opinion of millions of people.

Some people will wait on the demo, but as proved last year the demo can be completely different from the actually game. When I played the demo last year I thought they had improved the game play, but when playing the actual play learned that the game flow was one of the worser additions I have seen. We can only hope Madden gets back on the board, but no matter what they will make their sales.
